About the Art

Artful photographic prints are produced to the highest standard, using Giclee printing on 300 gsm 100% cotton rag fine art paper. This method, accepted by the art world for fine art reproduction, produces a high quality, archival grade digital print. The archival quality of the pigment ink with 100% cotton rag minimises the chemical reaction leading to image fading.

Because Giclee is widely regarded as one of the very best photographic and fine art printing methods it has become extremely popular with artists and photographers displaying their images in art galleries, museums and exhibitions.

Artful is proud to offer a high quality framing service that perfectly compliments the artwork. Using conservation quality wood mouldings, our handmade frames are built for each individual print and arrive ready to hang. The archival quality mount is acid free and pH neutral, so you can be confident your print is well protected.

Artful’s framing service is not only competitively priced but of the highest quality. If you have any requests for further framing options, get in touch.

Artful uses UPS for its UK and international shipping since they’re quick, trustworthy and affordable.

As soon as your artwork is ready to be dispatched, we’ll notify you with the shipping details and tracking number. For UK delivery, shipping is ‘Next Working Day’ but for international, it will take a small while longer.

As you'd expect, all artworks are packed with the utmost care to ensure they reach you safely, but If there is any problem with how an item has arrived we will address the issue immediately.

About the Artist

Artists - Andrea Bakacs

Hungarian, originally from Romania, Andrea Bakacs is an editorial and fine art photographer specialising in travel, lifestyle, food, still-life, and landscapes, respectively. Formally trained as a photographer while studying at Parsons School of Design in New York City, Bakacs went on to spend several years as a photo editor for Martha Stewart Living and Everyday Food, sharpening her eye to what inspires her the most: the duality of city and country life, culture and travel, good food and great wine, and all the amazing moments in between. Editorial clients include Esquire, The Atlantic, Bon Appetit, Afar, Monocle, Entrepreneur, Budget Travel, Esquire UK, The Telegraph Sunday Magazine, and The FT.

Andrea’s fine art work has been published in American Photography, Photo District News, The Blow Up, Colors, Dirt, among other publications, and has exhibited nationwide including both group and solo shows. Bakacs's images are influenced by both her background and overlapping interests in travel, cultural iconography, and the environment. Her continuing project, "Snow Pictures”, explores her fascination with the resonances and transformative qualities of snow over a landscape.

In her spare time Bakacs likes to travel, snowboard, and engage with environmental issues such as climate change and sustainability. She was selected as one of six international Earthkeeper Heroes by the Timberland Company for her role as a green photo activist and agent of environmental change. Bakacs currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
