About the Art

Displacement. Motion observed. Using a point of reference to define change and velocity.

Artful photographic prints are produced to the highest standard, using Giclee printing on 300 gsm 100% cotton rag fine art paper. This method, accepted by the art world for fine art reproduction, produces a high quality, archival grade digital print. The archival quality of the pigment ink with 100% cotton rag minimises the chemical reaction leading to image fading.

Because Giclee is widely regarded as one of the very best photographic and fine art printing methods it has become extremely popular with artists and photographers displaying their images in art galleries, museums and exhibitions.

Artful is proud to offer a high quality framing service that perfectly compliments the artwork. Using conservation quality wood mouldings, our handmade frames are built for each individual print and arrive ready to hang. The archival quality mount is acid free and pH neutral, so you can be confident your print is well protected.

Artful’s framing service is not only competitively priced but of the highest quality. If you have any requests for further framing options, get in touch.

Artful uses UPS for its UK and international shipping since they’re quick, trustworthy and affordable.

As soon as your artwork is ready to be dispatched, we’ll notify you with the shipping details and tracking number. For UK delivery, shipping is ‘Next Working Day’ but for international, it will take a small while longer.

As you'd expect, all artworks are packed with the utmost care to ensure they reach you safely, but If there is any problem with how an item has arrived we will address the issue immediately.

About the Artist

Artists - Patricia von Ah

Patricia von Ah was born in San Diego and raised in Los Angeles. Patricia is currently based in Switzerland and works internationally as a fine art, advertising, fashion and editorial photographer and filmmaker.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Art Center College of Design in California and starting out with pencil and brush, recognised early on that photography and film were her medium. She began her career in portraiture and in 2001 her portraits of prominent British artists were displayed at Sotheby’s in New York. Always with a desire for travel, she enjoys capturing on the road and suggests unusual locations whenever possible for her projects. With the likes of Yoko Ono, Dennis Hopper and John Travolta in front of her lens, her portraits ofactors, models, artists or objects are as diverse as the subjects themselves. Patricia uses both classic and digital photographic techniques in pursuit of her particular passion of discovering beauty in stillness and motion.

As an artist, Patricia has been working with photography and film exploring: displacement, chirality, transition, skin and circles of confusion. She has exhibited internationally.

Hands of Time. The series transport the viewer in between the layers of time where dimensions become fluid. Central to the work is the exploration of physical perception and its impact on the awareness of self and others. The subtle changes, as represented in the series, are without any manipulation or constructed composition. Nonetheless, with careful precision this series depicts that which is not so readily seen, but rather felt. With a sense of momentum, the instant creates itself with forces beyond our control.
